Q. Will you be able to get your machine into my back garden?

A. For 2021 we have changed our small Predator 460 stump grinder for a more powerful Jo Beau 31-110.

This is a tracked machine that has a width of 765mm (30 1/2”) but some clearance is obviously needed - if its just getting through a gate we can usually get away with 25mm (1”) each side, thats a total of 790mm (31 1/2”).

If it’s narrow all the way down the side of the house we like to have 50mm (2”) either side, thats a total of 34 1/2 inches (88cm), since it isn’t as easy to keep as straight as a small wheeled machine, but watch it go when it gets to the stump!

Q. The stump is up against a wall, will you still be able to grind it out?

A. Yes - Usually. Call, send a photo on email or WhatsApp and we will be able to tell you. Don’t forget to tell us if access is easy and please include your postcode or your town.

Q. What happens to the chippings?

A. We can use them to backfill the hole or you can compost them or put them in your recycle bin or use as a mulch around the garden. If you want us to take them away there is sometimes a small extra charge since we have to pay to take them to the recycle centre.
