How do you remove a tree stump?

Pulling it out of the ground or trying to remove it by digging it out will be extremely tiring, time consuming and hard labour. Sometimes it is just impossible. This is when a Stump Grinder is needed.

A stump grinder is a piece of agricultural equipment that is equipped with a heavy duty spinning cutter wheel, which is fitted with carbide steel teeth. The cutter wheel is repeatedly passed across the stump where it chips (or grinds) bits off it, gradually wearing it down to nothing.

Our stump grinders are very powerful and are capable of removing the core of the stump down to about 20 inches. There will be no regrowth when Stumpworks have removed your stumps.

Stump Grinding is the most effective way of removing a stump and causes the least disruption to the surrounding lawn, flower beds etc. The chippings are used to backfill the hole or can be used as compost, (on lawns we recommend back filling with soil).
